Do not switch to a 3 hour class unless you know that you qualify as a current California Notary and your commission will not expire on or before the class date. The Secretary of State will not accept applications for those who sign up for the 3- hour seminar if that person did not meet the qualifications. Please note that only the 6-hour class includes a guarantee of passing the notary exam. The same exam is given to both 6-hr and 3-hr classes.
