What is a Certified Loan Signer?
A Certified Loan Signer is a Notary Public who has passed an additional examination pertaining to loan signing documents, loan signing protocol and notary law. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and is given on-line and is open book.
Want to become a Certified Loan Signer?
Our Loan Signing classes are taught by
Notaries who are currently active Certified Loan Signers, hold multiple loan
signing certifications and have been actively signing loans for several years.
It is in fact, our years of experience that we pass on to our students, not just
information. After this class, you will be qualified take the APN&CSA
certification examination (at no additional charge) which is an open-book,
on-line examination and can be done at
any time up to one year after the class. The APN&CSA (Association of
Professional Notaries and Certified Signing Agents) is an association created by
NotaryClasses.com for the purposes of identifying those notary professionals who
have received training from our company. Upon passing the certification
examination, you may use the APN&CSA logo for your website and business cards.
It is important to note that some large
lending institutions and title companies require loan signing certification and
a separate background clearance from the National Notary Association.
We want you to maximize your
opportunities and of course, we will
include all of the information you need
to know about these additional qualifications should you choose to pursue them.
Even though certification is not a legal requirement under the laws of
California, we do not know of any lending companies who will accept new loan
signers who are not certified. You must be well trained before you go out to
your first loan signing and that is our ultimate goal. Of course we want you to
pass certification examinations, but more important, we do not want you to make
errors the first time out. With us, you are not alone! Use our notary hot-line
system and get help even before you complete your first set of documents.
Should I take my certification exam before I receive my commission?
It will take on average 10-12 weeks for your notary commission to finalize so why not take advantage of this tme and take your loan signing certification class & exam while you are waiting? We especially encourage you to take the loan signing class as soon as possible after the notary seminar because it is a great way to put into practice some of the new notary knowledge so recently acquired.
We have three (3) options for obtaining your Loan Signing Certification:
Option 1 - One-Day Seminar $150
... or only $100 if purchased during your live notary seminar!
1-day seminar with an experienced loan signing instructor
We offer our notary seminar students a $50 discount during the seminar for the loan signing class but the class must be
paid for in that class. The class only takes 1-day and focuses on loan signing documents, loan signing protocol and loan signing marketing techniques.
Take your Notary seminar & exam first, but while you are waiting for your commission process, you should take your loan signing certification class. The cost of this class is only $150 which includes the materials and the exam! This exam is given on-line and is open-book. You will take this exam at your convenience in your own home after the seminar. This price also includes processing and mailing your certification documentation.
