Please check back again as the list of needed languages may change.
Telephone interpreters & document translators may may live anywhere in the United States but at this time, on-site interpreters are required in California only.

Description:
Language companies receive many hundreds of requests every month from hospitals, medical units, public agencies, attorneys and private businesses for on-site interpreters, on demand interpreters over the telephone & foreign language document translations. Several of these companies have formed a cooperative effort for the purposes of seeking additional interpreters and translators to satisfy the demand, especially in Orange County and Los Angeles County. AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS are especially needed, but all interpreters in all languages listed above should apply to fill immediate needs. Should you decide to apply, your emailed information will be entered into a language database and this information will be forwarded to the language company or companies requiring your services in your language and area.

Interpreters and translators work primarily as-needed, not full-time. When a client (hospital, law office, state or county programs, for example) need an interpreter or translator, a request for that service is called into a language service company. The company representative is charged with locating an interpreter with the required language, background and/or qualifications for that particular assignment. A list of interpreters who meet the geographical area and interpreter criteria will be contacted one-by-one until a qualified interpreter agrees to take the assignment. Fees are negotiated between the company representative and the interpreter at that time unless a previous relationship with that interpreter has been established. Interpreters work at their own schedule, never are required to take an assignment and may establish their own rates for services.

Interpreters providing on-site language services are typically paid "per assignment". Rates vary depending upon language, experience, certification, location and sometimes contract budgets.

Interpreters providing language services over the phone are typically paid "by the minute" for each call.

Document translators typically charge "by the word" translated.

The language requirements and geographical areas where language services change frequently so be sure to check this posting for additional languages and/or locations. Sometimes the need is for the same day so check daily.

A representative from the language company will contact you only when specific assignments or needs arise in your geographical area and for your language(s). Please do not call NotaryClasses.com to confirm receipts of resumes, language assignments or to ask questions about rates for specific assignments. Assignment rates will be negotiated individually between you and the language company when you are contacted.
